This series is getting better by the book,so i was very happy when the opportunity arrived to read and review The Devil’s Daughter. The enemy is still at large, and Arturo’s daughters are still at risk. In the Devil’s Daughter,we get the story of the baby of the Santos family,Elle. And she may be the baby, but she knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to ask for it,that’s for sure! Arturo asked his friend Drake to keep an eye on his youngest daughter Elle. So,he offers her an internship at his company,Typhon, plus he moves her into his penthouse. Not only that, she’s got 2 bodyguards now….2 very familiar bodyguards! Baz and Ben have been a part of most of her life, and Arturo was more than happy to assign them to her. The question is,what ís the nature of their relationship, apart from the bodyguard part? And Drake, where does he fit in all of this, apart from being her boss, mentor and “landlord”? Truth is,she likes all three men,but how do they feel? Drake has spent most of his life behind a selfbuilt wall, showing a man in control of himself all of the time. The reason for this is the trauma left behind by his late father, and he doesn’t know how to get past it. Until Elle…she seems to unlock feelings he kept buried with a single glance,or a teasing gesture. The twins have been protective of Elle from the moment they got to know her. They both want more, but can they live with the possibility she only wants one of them? Sure, they want her to be happy, but at what cost? And if all of this isn’t enough,Drake has been receiving threats lately. Not only that,he finds out some one has planted cameras all through his penthouse! So,he decides to relocate them to his yacht, where they’ll be safe whilst Baz searches for the source. Being this close together has a side-effect that could solve another problem, too… When Elle and Drake find Ben in the middle of a nightmare, they have a very interesting way to help him. And when they wake up together the next morning, feeling good about what happened, they decide it’s time for more. With Baz,naturally….because Elle wants it all, needs them all! After the first shock,he agrees, and soon they find a balance that seems to work. But the threat to Drake is still there, and they’re not getting any closer to finding out who’s behind it. Can they find out in time,or will it end in disaster? Will the twins be able to keep them all safe,or will they lose Drake? Or maybe Elle, the one they all can’t live without? This was a story that had me glued to the pages from the first page to the very last. It was a rollercoaster ride that combined romance with suspense equally. And knowing Marco’s story is next….that’s another Santos i most certainly want to hear more of!!
