Fate's Fools Book 8
When Chaos reigns, April Fool’s is no joke.
April Vincent knows she’s Bloodline, but has yet to learn what it means. All she knows is her glassblowing skills are more on point than they’ve ever been. It’s as if the fire itself obeys her every whim.
But on April 1st, the universe turns her world upside-down. First, her gambling-addicted father shows up out of the blue, on the run from an angry casino owner. Then all her new projects begin to systematically break before completion.
When sexy dragon shifter Gray Verro wanders into April’s gallery, his presence is the first taste of calm she’s had in days.
For Gray, the beautiful artist embodies everything he desires in a mate, but despite being a former bodyguard, Gray is barely enough to protect her from the otherworldly thugs hunting her. Hell, he may not be enough for her, period.
Forced into hiding with Chaos at their heels, April’s dragon guardian has no choice but to call in his five closest friends and fellow bodyguards for help. The six are tasked with protecting her against an enemy they all know well enough to fear, but for April, the presence of six enticing shifters begins to awaken dormant powers, and along with them desires far too powerful to deny.
Book 8 in Fate’s Fool’s series by Ophelia Bell
April is a glassblowing artist and recently finding it difficult to finish her art piece for a grand opening.
Gray is a guardian dragon that was part of a team of 6 that work for Chaos (Chase) until leaving his employment to find there mates. Thinking that needed to split up they all go there separate ways until chaos tries to kidnap April and a Gray calls his team to help protect her.
April is another type of chimera similar to Deva but slightly different.
This book like previous isn’t based around Deva and her mates but she does pop in and out. I love this story and especially as the action is similar to previous book small amount to keep you interested but more about the characters and building romance.
I do hope we get another book that has more heavy Deva and her mates but I absolutely love this series and can’t wait for more.
This is my absolute favourite series by this author and if you wanted to just read this series then go ahead but to soak in the absolutely fantastic world OP has developed I would heavily recommend start at the very beginning of her dragon series Sleeping Dragons.
